Water jet cutting

We currently also perform 3D cutting with bevel elimination, which is one of the latest trends in water jet cutting. We execute the orders in short deadlines and at favourable prices. Products cut with a water jet can be used in engineering, construction, advertising, electrical engineering, light industry, or, for example, interior and exterior furnishing. Our number of cutting machines and high-pressure water pumps make us one of the largest commercial cutting rooms in the Czech Republic. We also take small orders.

The working pressure of the water ranges from 500 to 6,500 Bar. The pressure sources are special high-pressure pumps that vary in their output (11 - 75 kW) and water flow (1.2 - 7.6 l / min). The jet is formed in a cutting head with a nozzle at its end. When soft materials are being processed, we use a clean water jet. An abrasive jet (hydro-abrasive jet) is required in other cases. A suitable admixture is, for example, garnet - an abrasive chosen according to the hardness of the material being cut.

The movement of the cutting head, and thus the entire cutting path, is controlled by a computer according to a pre-set program. In a single operation, it is also possible to perform cuts that are complex in terms of the shape being cut into the material. The standard cut accuracy is +/- 0.2 mm. The material being cut is not put under strain. The edge of the cut is not heat-affected in any way, it is always a cold cut.

This fact is very important, and it is what distinguishes the water jet from other technologies for cutting materials in a decisive way, especially from laser and microplasma cutting. After the cut is made, the water and abrasive mixture is caught in a catcher (tub) placed under the material being cut.

Cutting with a high-pressure water jet is also often referred to as water jet (waterjet), water cutting, liquid jet cutting, or hydro-abrasive cutting.
